Friday, July 12 will see the return of top-class athletics to the Morton Stadium Dublin for the annual World Athletics Continental Tour track and field meet. The programme has now been finalised and all can look forward to what will be a wonderful night’s athletics starting off with the very popular Dublin Athletics juvenile mixed 4 x 200 relays, the magic of the mile – that is the incredible sight of the 16 x 100, plus a bit, U/12 to U/16 juvenile relay, the inter-varsity Swedish relay and then the full international programme.
For women: 100 hurdles, 200, 800, 1500, high jump and discus.
Men’s events: 100, 400, 800, the Albie Thomas 5000, shot and then the feature event to bring the curtain down on the night's proceedings the iconic Morton Mile.
