Today marks 50 days to go until the 2024 Morton Games at the Morton Stadium Dublin on Friday, July 12. An action packed night is promised with the main program featuring 12 international events with athletes from all corners of the world.

There will be athletes competing from as far as Australia and Japan, the African continent, North America and of course all parts of Europe.

The feature Morton mile will bring the evenings athletics to a fitting climax. The cream of Irish middle distance is expected to toe the line before the starters gun goes at 9:05 PM with athletes such as Cathal Doyle, Brian Fay, Nick Griggs, Darragh McElhinney, Paul Robinson and Charlie O'Donovan to name but a few entered. The full Morton Mile field will be announced closer to the big night.

The evening’s entertainment will get underway at 5:30 PM with the Dublin Athletics Inter club Juvenile mixed 4 x 200 relays, followed by the U/20 women and men's miles.

At 7 PM the main international programme will get underway. Events this year are:

Men- 100, 400, 800, Albie Thomas 5000, shot put, the Morton mile.

Women- 100 hurdles, 200, 800, 1500, discus, high jump.

Morton Games it's not just about the athletics, it's a great fun evening featuring a live DJ and food trucks. Tickets are available now and are excellent value at €10 for adults (plus booking fee) with U/16's free.
